Giants activate Mota from DL

09/07/2010 - Phoenix, AZ (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The San Francisco Giants activated relief pitcher Guillermo Mota from the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday.

The right-hander had been out of action since August 23 with IT band syndrome in his left leg.

The 37-year-old has appeared in 51 games this season, the sixth straight campaign in which he has eclipsed 50 appearances. He holds a 1-3 record with a 4.78 earned run average and one save.

In related moves, the Giants recalled infielder Emmanuel Burriss and outfielder Eugenio Velez from Triple-A Fresno.
